For Transgender Awareness Week and I wanted to create an illustration that illuminated nothing. No trans flag, no trans colors or a “trans specific” moment. Just community.
Maybe the trans or gender nonconforming person or non-binary person is the child here who knew at that young age that the skin they’re in felt off. Maybe it’s the parent or guardian here holding their hand. Maybe this adult only realized they were trans or gender nonconforming or non-binary after a few key incidents in their life that clued them in.
