Created this illustration for trans and gender non-conforming/non-binary awareness. The aim is to illuminate nothing. No trans flag, no trans colors or a “trans specific” moment. Just community.
Maybe the trans or gender nonconforming person or non-binary person is the child here who knew at that young age that the skin they’re in felt off. Maybe it’s the parent or guardian here holding their hand. Maybe this adult only realized they were trans or gender nonconforming or non-binary after a few key incidents in their life that clued them in.
The point is there is no clear signifier. Just the feelings and recognition the person has inside. But, in this life, there can be community. There can be support for each other. So support.
